International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX)is announcing a tender for the development of a shared mobile multimediaapplication for the USAID-funded Media for Transparent and Accountable Government (M-TAG) program.

Description of the product concept:

Shared mobile multimedia application is intended to enable regional media organizations enrolled in IREX M-TAG’s Regional Media Sustainability Initiative (RMSI) to publish text, photo and video materials on mobile platforms.

 The mobile application must be compatible with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets that have IOS and Android operating systems.

The application must support placement of content in specific categories as well as in multiple categories of publishing menu.

The application must support the embedded code of YouTube as well as video and audio streaming both free and for-fee online streaming services and streaming server.

User should have the option to choose one or several media outlets listed in the main menu and subscribe to preferred news categories.

Content contained in the mobile application should be provided from a content management system (CMS) built on an open-source platform.

Post-production support and multiple design:

The template is intended for the use by up to twenty media outlet beneficiaries of the Regional Media Sustainability Initiative (RMSI).

The developer will be responsible for adjusting the template to the brand colors of the web-pages of beneficiaries and registering the accounts in Google play and App store services.

The developer will be responsible for consultation/technical assistance to beneficiaries in the process of the application implementation.

 In addition to the technical details and budget, the proposal must contain outline of the design, arranged according to the functionality of pages.
